Desilter is the solid control equipment with a set of hydrocyclones that separate sand from the drilling fluids. Desilter is the third phase solids control equipment to treat the drilling fluids and improve the performance of drilling mud., It can be combined with desander to be mud cleaner called all in one machine. Generally, the cone diameter of desander is 8’’ and 10’’ which can separated the solids in fluids from 15μm to 47μm.
